Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl
Thick and creamy smoothie bowl that makes you feel like you're eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream! Add any of your favorite toppings.
peeled, sliced, then frozen
unsweetened almond milk
any milk is fine
natural peanut butter
creamy or crunchy
unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 to 1
pure vanilla extract
chopped nuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, sliced banana, chopped apple, raisins, fresh berries, oats, ground flax, shredded coconut, chocolate chips,
Almond Joy granola
Place all ingredients except toppings in a blender (

). Blend until smooth.
Pour blended smoothie into a bowl and garnish with desired toppings. Smoothie bowl is best served immediately, but leftovers can be kept covered in the refrigerator up to 8 hours.
Using a frozen banana brings a thick texture to this smoothie bowl. If you don't have any pre-frozen bananas, use a fresh one and add 2-3 ice cubes to your blender.
If using sweetened milk/non-dairy milk, you may want to omit sweetener completely.
You may also use honey or pure maple syrup.
