Hi, Sharon-- you'll put the foil or shield on from the beginning and remove it for the last 15 minutes. Hope that clarifies!

I’ve been looking for a good sweet potato pie for a very long time and this one is the one! Super easy to make and the flavors were perfect. It will definitely be on my thanksgiving table for years to come( maybe in between too).

This was our first time making pies for Thanksgiving dinner. My 7 and 4 year old were assisting so I am always nervous how the final product will turn out but we were extremely happy! The pie was delicious and easy to make! We opted to make a homemade sourdough pie crust (because discard is always plenty in our house). Will definitely be keeping this recipe on hand for holiday parties!
