In reply to Sandra Allison. Hi, Sandra-- I have not used canned yams for this, but you can! You're looking for about 4 cups of 1-2" cubes of sweet potatoes, so that will be how much you want in yams. If you are using cans, there will be about 2 cups in one 15-ounce can of yams, so you will probably be fine to use 1 can and maybe some of the 2nd can. Let me know how it turns out!

I will be making this for Thanksgiving this year. I would like to know if you have ever used canned yams in this recipe and if so how many cans would I need to use? I bought 2 cans, 28 ounces each can. Thank you for the easy recipe. It looks delicious. I can’t wait to try it.

Good recipe and was easy to follow. Only issue i had was the website printed the page in dark mode even though the preview of the print wasnt and wasted SO much ink
