this is amazing. You need to make this frosting. I did make the strawberry cupcakes the first time ( also great!!), but honestly this frosting would taste amazing on ANYTHING so do what you like! I cannot wait to put in a chocolate layer cake next. I had a hard time not eating this by the spoonful. It is SO good, like you are eating the best, height of season, fresh off the farm berries. I did use my whole bag of freeze dried berries ( about 10oz i think) bc i went off script and did 1.5ish times the recipe ( I like frosting, i want a BIG mound on each cupcake not a small dollop) so i just keep adding until i thought it was "strawberry-y" enough :) I cannot wait to make this again. Everyone who tried LOVED. I froze some cupcakes and even the frozen and thawed frosting IS AMAZING. do not hesitate to make this. you will not be disappointed.

Hi, David-- you want to use freeze dried strawberries for this frosting, otherwise you will have too much moisture and it won't set up.
