Finally got around to making this recipe. I did use buttermilk because I had some hanging around. This cornbread turned out amazing! So tender and delicious. Another keeper. Will be my go to for cornbread.

So delicious. It is almost cakey in texture compared to other cornbread I’ve made in the past, which might sound odd, but it’s really really good. Plus it’s always fun to cook and bake in cast iron.

This is so good!!! We did a test run for Thanksgiving with the intention of freezing it, but we wound up eating all of it. Oops! We will be making more this week. Thanks for the recipe.
