These are SO GOOD. The browned butter in the frosting elevates these above your typical pumpkin cookie. And the cookie itself was the perfect texture. I used a tipless piping bag to pipe the icing on in a swirl.

In reply to Lisa. Hi, Lynn, Well, they were WAY too sweet with the white chips. I think next time I’ll try my hand at your brown butter buttercream icing. That, or cut the number of chips by 1/2. The cookies themselves were amazing! Not cake-like at all! I will definitely try again.

I made the dough and put it in the fridge but when I went to preheat my oven it didn’t heat up, my igniter broke. 🙁
Can this dough be frozen?

Hi, Lisa– I do think that would be a lot, and if you want to add chips, I’d just say forego the frosting! But it couldn’t hurt to try 🙂 let me know how it turns out!
