Love Anise Pizzelle Cookies! I just started making them with my new Pizzelles maker and have tried many recipes. While these didn’t turn out perfectly shaped (my fault), they turned out perfectly delicious – due to your delicious recipe. Sure wish I could give your recipe a higher rating! Thank you for sharing.

One alternate way I make them is to add 1/2 cup of unsweetened chocolate powder to the dry ingredients to make chocolate-flavored Pizzelles. My hubby’s favorite!

My grandmother use to make them one by one over a coal stove in southeast Kansas. I still have her iron. I have two electric irons that both of my grandsons made them on when they were of course supervised. Everyone from my little home town uses vanilla and whiskey to make the. We have them at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our main dish is Cappaletti. Handing down the recipe and iron to my kids. Such great memories.

My mom used to have a pizelle machine when I was a kid and I loved making them with my family! We used to dip them in chocolate and add sprinkles and nuts. Now I need to get my own pizelle maker!
