In reply to Kim. Hi, Kim! You can definitely freeze these with the frosting on them. If you put candy cane pieces on them, they may weep a bit upon defrosting but should be totally fine to eat. Enjoy!

I just made your recipe and it’s excellent! My only question is can I freeze these with the frosting already on them since it includes heavy whipping cream? I wasn’t thinking and already made the frosting knowing I’m not making my cookie trays for several weeks. Thanks!

In reply to Wendy. Hi, Wendy-- you can use regular cocoa powder, that's totally fine. Dutch processed just has a smoother, deeper chocolate flavor. Enjoy!

These look amazing, giving them 5 stars because I want to ask a question but not mess up your rating. I don’t have Dutch processed cocoa. I just have Hershey’s regular cocoa and also raw cacao. What does the dutch process do that makes you choose that over regular cocoa? Thanks!

These cookies are SO good. I didn’t have heavy cream for the icing so I swapped for milk. Didn’t miss a beat. All the flavor of peppermint bark you need!
