Maybe I did something wrong, but my taters came out really runny even when I dumped the broth. I should have just not added liquid until I’d mashed, I suppose!

Here to say these mashies were so good. I followed the stove top directions because I don’t have an instant pot and they were so good and easy.

These were a huge hit for a Thanksgiving get together of 14 adults. Although it was the kids (5) going back for 2nds and 3rds 🙂 Made a double batch, and they were all gone!!!

I have seen other Instant Pot mashed potato recipes that call for the potatoes to be put on a trivet so that they don’t burn on the bottom or get soggy and cook unevenly in the liquid. Do these work without a trivet or is there a reason you chose not to use one? Just don’t want to mess anything up on my end!

In reply to Jody. Hey, Jody! Thank you so much :) yes, it can be frozen. You may have to re-whip/mix with a little more butter or milk, but we make ahead and freeze every year for Thanksgiving and it works really well!

I made this recipe the other night and it was phenomenal! The cream and sour cream are an absolute necessity going forward with me. I do have a question though. Can this recipe be frozen?

Last minute switcheroo on thanksgiving! I usually make mine in the cockpot but I saw this recipe the night before and switched it up! These were delicious and even quicker and easier than my crockpot recipe! My new go to from now on!
