I added these to holiday cookie plates and people LOVED them! I loved how these are a softer cookie because of the fresh cranberry, and the tart cranberry worked perfectly with the sweet frosting.
I halved the powdered sugar for my preferred level of sweetness, used milk instead of heavy cream in the frosting (because that’s what I had on hand), and garnished with crushed pistachio.

In reply to gee. Hi, Gee-- it will harden, but not rock hard. You can stack 2 or 3 without them getting too squished! Use parchment between if you want to protect them.

In reply to Sidney. Hi, Sidney-- either way! I always prefer freshly baked cookies, so I recommend freezing cookie dough balls, but you can do whichever you prefer.

I made these cookies for Thanksgiving and a cookie exchange as well as gifts. They received impressive compliments each time and everyone loved the small rosemary garnish. So perfect with the sugared berries. I still have a bag of cranberries in the freezer and will make for Spring or Easter.
