My family LOVED this! I used chocolate ice cream and a giant chocolate cupcake – and unicorn sprinkles. I feel like this is how I need to always make my ice cream from now on!!

In reply to Terry. Really?! Wow! I have always had success with mine. BUT it's the only one I've ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. If you try it out or have any feedback, I'd love to hear it :)

In reply to Terry. Thanks Lynn! I read a lot of really mixed reviews, most negative. I'll check it out again!

Do you happen to know a great ice cream maker? My parents had 1 when I was a kid. It was always to die for, except my mom’s favorite was ‘nilla, so that’s all we ever had. Boo….lol It was an fashioned kind, lots of ice and lots of salt over the ice. Electric. Haven’t seen anything like that in years! Thanks!

Made this for a party. It was so easy and everyone was so impressed. The kids love the colorful sprinkle.

I have never loved birthday cake ice cream because I always found it to be too sweet, but this was perfect! What a lovely recipe.
