Hi lynn I am an English Man living in Spain I love your recipes . I tried this bundt cake the other night . I had to put it back in the oven as it was not cooked enough around the centre . Next time I need to chop my nuts smaller for the topping. But it was delicious as good as your fluffy cinnamon buns that my wife made last week . Thank you . Regards steve

Since my recipes aren't written to accommodate high altitude, I can never guarantee results tested in such different circumstances. This has really good flavor, but at 7,000 ft altitude, I will have to adjust more as it over-rose in the oven, and then fell miserably. I was able to un-mold and ice it, so we ate it anyway and it tastes good. May try an even darker rum next time. I had previously given it a 2 rating but have changed my mind.

Not my fave..The praline ruined an otherwise ok bundt recipe. The praline icing was messy, difficult to work with, way too sugary, hard to cut , serve and I actually think the cake would have been complimented better with a cream cheese frosting. Won’t be making this one again.

Although the cake got a lot of compliments, I know I made some stupid decisions when making this desert. I was messing around with a silicone bundt pan. It failed me for the third time so it is now in the dump. I don’t make cakes very often so if I am trying a recipe for the first time, I need to work with as many advantages as I can. I will make this again and plan to get rave reviews. It was very good. People kept picking at it. I know I can do a better job baking it.

Thank you for all your tips! I thought the batter was amazing. I especially like the tip about ‘substituting cake flour with 3 cups sifted all purpose minus 6 T. then plus 6 T. corn starch. Nice
